In the first 2 years the ride was the largest in KC in its first year, had riders from about 20 different states register in the 2nd year, & raised approximately $40,000 for children in the KC area as together we ride to Brake the Cycle!!!

The
Bright Lights Ride  has a goal to become the premier road cycling event in the Region. In an effort to ensure the utmost quality event additional preparation time is required. Due to this reason there will be no formal Bright Lights Ride in 2024.

Instead there will be an informal ride on Saturday, September 14th this year. Please signup so we have an idea of how many will be there.

There will be no entry fee! Instead we ask you donate time and/or money to a charity of your choosing. We have a list of area charities who partner with rides in our area.

It has been rumored that a couple hundred cyclist still plan on riding the Longview Lake course on Saturday, September 14th at 8:00am this year to honor the event and the amazing successes in the first two years (JC & Michael Tongi are rumored to be riding over 250 miles on the course that day)

Look for the full glory of the  Bright Lights Ride 2025 in its greatest rendition yet.
